Filmed outside of Las Vegas, the Plinian Films crew has just completed the music video for Binary Death’s track “Ashville.” You could say Johnny Zero stepped up from producer to production designer because of the project’s star, a 1969 Convertible Mustang. Zero rebuilt the car from its polished interior down to its engine. Oh did I mention that Zero is also the front man for Binary Death?
As the car whips and hugs the turns, Johnny Zero is seen singing from inside the driver’s seat. With the intention of commemorating this beast of a car, each shot shows its performance grade build. ‘Cause who doesn’t like to see a pretty car tearing through the Nevada desert?
The video sets up an alternative world where the audience is viewing a found tape. It’s the last message from the artist and the content sends the audience home with a twist.
